Mostly spot on but I disagree with your take on Chanicut. Chanicut embraces the fact that we live in a multiverse where you only have what you can hold.Chanicuts take what they want.
None of the longstanding Houses have any tradition of respect for local Shadow laws.
Chanicut does have extensive criminal holdings throughout Shadow, but the mission statement remains silent on the subject of criminality leaving Chanicut free to seize whatever opportunities present themselves.

I’m sorry my words gave offense. I meant no disrespect. I feel certain that most of the people reading this have no idea what it takes to keep a Major House of the Thelbane running. I know I didn’t when I set out to found Discordia. Crime is just doing things that the lawmakers don’t want. Sometimes that is desirable. Sometimes that is necessary. I’ve been a criminal and no doubt I will be again. I’m not judging you. I have a better idea than almost anyone about the challenges you face. I know that you have the strength of character to remake Chanicut in your own image. When you do it will be glorious.

Bill, one of the biggest constraints on every Thelbane House is time. Time there runs 5 times the rate of St. James. Among other things that means that the year I have to create my House is only 73 days St. James time. Everybody in the Thelbane still needs to eat and taxes need to be paid. Business disruptions need to be corrected very quickly by the standards of the rest of the multiverse. That can lead to some hard choices.
