Baal is one of the Goa’uld who over the years have been extremely active on Earth. He has been killed several times, but it has subsequently become known that Ball was successfully able to clone himself, and it has never become clear how many times he achieved that feat.
In more recent times, Baal has been an occasional source of intelligence on other Goa’uld activities, particularly the Greek pantheon. For this reason, it is currently speculated that Baal may be pretty much operating solo at this time, having been expelled by both the Greek and Egyptian pantheons.
