Darik was resurrected as a demon at the request of Seraphina Hendrake-Jesby, his ex wife, after he sacrificed his life to allow her to be resurrected as a demoness. She died defending Jesby. The fact that he died to save her, and she had him brought back indicates that the two are likely to be found working in concert, and that the former marriage has probably been reinstated in demonic terms.
